Omecha Church
 and Hope Orphanage

Pastor Joshua Opio

Process to Donate:

UPDATE - September 28, 2024! Pastor Joshua and the church committee are in the final stages of setting up a new, online process of donating to Omecha Church and Hope Orphanage through a Ugandan bank!  Check back here for more information soon!

ANY amount of money you donate would be appreciated - greatly!

The Omecha Church and Orphanage does not currently have an official financial entity, e.g., through a bank; however, Pastor Joshua Opio is investigating setting that up at the present time. Donations can successfully be made to the church and orphanage now using a Western Union transfer. Western Union is just the vehicle for a money transfer - just like a United States Post Office delivering a check - only electronically. Yes, transferring money to an official financial entity, such as a bank, for the church and orphanage would be better than just sending the money to an individual. However, the video evidence showing the responses of the congregation and orphans to receiving the benefits of the money that has been sent using Western Union transfers (by RLW) show that Pastor Joshua Opio and his wife are trustworthy - and spend the money wisely for the benefit of the congregation and orphans. RLW: My original thoughts were to keep my own giving totally secret, BUT I think it is worthwhile and important that you know that this process works successfully to help out the church and orphanage. To God goes the Glory!

How to successfully send money to Pastor Joshua Opio in Uganda for the benefit of the church and orphanage using Western Union:

Establish an account with Western Union (WU) HERE (www.westernunion.com/us/en/home.html)

Start by clicking on "Register" at the top right of the Western Union page and follow the prompts.

When you are in the Western Union website to send money to a new receiver:

Choose the country to "Send to:" Uganda

Specify the amount of money you wish to send in USD (or whatever your local currency is) and note the amount that Pastor Joshua will receive in UGX.

Follow the rest of the prompts to complete the transaction of sending money. This will also include listing Pastor Joshua's wife as the actual recipient – as requested by Pastor Joshua – and this has worked out just fine every time to get the money to Pastor Joshua and his congregation. (See the videos.) To emphasize, specifically put the name Ayado Jenavivi Elizabeth as the recipient.

Pastor's Joshua's wife will need to fill out a form at a Western Union location in Uganda with the sender's full name, telephone number, state (e. g. in USA), and country of origin, e.g., USA - so you will need to send that information to Pastor Joshua. Contact Pastor Joshua directly through his Facebook account using Facebook Messenger:

Pastor Joshua's wife Ayado Jenavivi Elizabeth will need to show a government-issued photo ID and the Western Union tracking number = MTCN, which Western Union will provide to the sender after the completion of paying for the money to be transferred. So, send that MTCN number to Pastor Joshua, so that his wife can use that number to pick up the money at a Western Union agent location.

Use the default "Cash pick up" at the agent location in Uganda.

As the sender, use the Pay online option with a Debit Card for an additional fee. Be aware that there is also a small transfer fee to send the money – which will be clearly designated by Western Union.
